MONEL® Alloy 400 provides a cost-effective alternative to commercially pure Nickel while still retaining some of the important characteristics Nickel 200/Nickel 201 offers. It offers good strength through a wide range of temperatures and has good corrosion resistance in several different environments. It is a solid solution alloy and can be hardened by cold working. It is frequently used in the explosives industry, rocketry and the pulp and paper industry due to its spark-free nature.
