Material Processing

We offer additional processing for a wide variety of products, including Laser Cutting services helping you save time on important projects. We can process stainless steel and nickel alloy pipes, bars and sheets to exact requirments upon request.

The accuracy and low tolerances achieved allow us to supply bespoke requirements without disproportionate tooling and labour costs.

Stainless Steels

Stainless Steel 304/304L

These grades of austenitic steels have excellent resistance to a wide range of atmospheric environments and many corrosive media. They are subject to pitting and crevice corrosion in warm chloride environments and to stress corrosion cracking above about 60 °C.

Stainless Steel 316/316L

Sometimes referred to as marine grade stainless steel, it is the second most common austenitic stainless steel after 304 however the addition of molybdenum provides greater corrosion resistance than 304. When cold worked, 316 can produce high yield and tensile strengths similar to Duplex stainless grades.

Nickel-Based Alloys

Nickel Alloy 200

Nickel 200 works well both forming and drawing. It has good thermal conductivity and mechanical properties. It also offers great corrosion resistance, especially against caustic alkalis. This material also has good magnetostrictive properties and low electrical resistivity,

Nickel Alloy 201

Nickel 201 is similar to Nickel 200 however it is produced with lower carbon content. Great for cold forming due to its ultra-low work hardening rate. Better creep resistance than Nickel 200. Useful in high-temperature applications up to 315°C

Nickel Alloy 400

Nickel 400 is a single-phase solid-solution nickel-copper alloy that can only be hardened by cold working. It has excellent corrosion resistance in Alkalies, seawater and sulfuric acid. It also has high strength when exposed to a wide range of temperatures including sub-zero temperatures.

Nickel Alloy 600

Nickel 600 is a nickel-chromium alloy that can be hot worked relatively easily. It has good oxidation resistance at high temperatures. It also has good resistance to carburization, nitrogen and hydrogen.

Nickel Alloy 601

Nickel 601 is a nickel-chromium alloy with around 1.4% aluminum. It has good oxidation resistance to 2200° F. It also has good creep resistance as well as resistance to carburization and spalling.

Nickel Alloy 625

Nickel 625 is relatively easy to fabricate whilst offering high strength outstanding corrosion resistance.

Nickel Alloy 800H

Nickel 800H is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy that provides resistance to prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures. It has excellent resistance to oxidation, sulfidation, and carburization

Nickel Alloy 825

Nickel 825 is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy designed to be highly resistant to corrosion. Its high Nickel content allows for resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking.
